Arthritis Laser Therapy

Relief to painful joints
improving your mobility and lifestyle

Arthritis is inflammation of one or more of your joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically progress with age although arthritis is now becoming more prevalent in younger, sporting populations. The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis causes cartilage, the hard slippery tissue that covers the ends of bones where they form a joint to break down and wear. As this progresses, you eventually get bone on bone contact.

Symptoms include:

  • Pain
  • Stiffness
  • Decreased mobility
  • Swelling
  • Redness

Help is at hand!

There is a common misconception that nothing can be done for arthritis. This couldn’t be further from the truth! In many cases there is a reason your joint got into trouble in the first place so this is where we start. Detailed assessment of your muscle control often shows deficits that caused excessive pressure through the joint leading to wear. We use gentle manual therapy alongside specific strengthening exercises to help support the joint.

We also utilise Deep Tissue Laser Therapy. This delivers ‘light energy’ deep in body tissues, setting into motion chemical reactions that speed up healing, as well as reducing inflammation, swelling, loss of function and pain. We use a Class-IV Deep Tissue Laser with superior penetrating power that does what Class III cold laser simply can’t.

The result is fast-acting therapeutic benefits, stimulating healing that is felt almost instantly, with cumulative benefits.  Reducing inflammation, increasing blood flow up to 500%, alleviating pain in the spine, joint, muscles and nerves.  Superior in every way, and in many cases, fewer treatments and of shorter duration may be experienced.

Totally Safe – Truly Painless

  • The high-power laser is safe, but protective glasses
are used to protect sensitivity of the eyes and retina.
  • Treatment is painless and without side effects, but
you may experience a relaxed and gentle warming.
